The opening weekend of the duck hunting season has seen a healthy population of ducks around the district, both Mallard and Paradise ducks were seen in good numbers. A long time friend and hunting guide from the UK, Jacob Jaeban accompanied myself on shooting a small farm pond for the opening day of the season. From a morning and evening flight we manage to come home with a big smile of satisfaction as our game bags were heavy, and duck was on the menu.
